Global Coordination Mechanism on NCDs

The World Health Organization’s global coordination mechanism on the prevention and control of NCDs or WHO GCM/NCD, is an essential part of WHO’s response to the global NCD challenge. It supports governments in their efforts to realize their high-level commitments on NCDs through coordinate and integrated multi-sectoral and multi-stakeholder responses, including with other interested parties both inside and outside the UN system, while avoiding duplication of efforts, making the best use of available resources, and avoiding conflicts of interests. This portal has been created as an essential knowledge platform to facilitate and enhance the coordination of activities, multi-stakeholder engagement and action across sectors at the local, national, regional and global levels.
